Madame Recamier, a French beauty who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries, ran a famous salon where she hosted the greatest minds of her time. The salon became a place for Napoleon's opposition to congregate. This chaise, as luxurious and unconventional as she was, would've held an honored place in the salon.

An antique striated velvet in a verde color. 50% rayon, 50% cotton. Deep sculpted tufting on a classic, recamier shaped chaise. Eight way hand tied construction on a hardwood kiln-dried frame.
